Let by the powerful Montreal rap artist Freaky D, one of Quebec’s earliest female rappers appearing here in a rare filmed performance, and the harmonies of Toronto’s rap trio United We Stand, Let’s Rap!’s 22 women dance in time, fly by cloud nine, yell to tell, pout and shout it out! They/we all have something to say. So… Let’s Rap! Along with fifteen other 5-minute films, Let’s Rap! was included in the feature-length compilation Five Feminist Minutes, released in 1990 by the National Film Board’s women’s studio, Studio D.
