Through a dense mist we emerge into a foggy marshland. Slowly and achingly a mysterious landscape is revealed. Foghorns and sharp cuts jolt the meandering sense of place and memory, creating a sense of unease and anxiety within (Images Festival). (Note: First minute is a one-minute still frame.)

Anna is working as a cleaning lady. Every night she cleans Helen’s office. Helen is a high-level broker working in the stock exchange. The two women live in different worlds and normally would never meet each other. Recipe
Add one part interpretation, 2 parts intent, stir and let simmer. Caution, results may vary: one woman discovers that a recipe is not necessarily the sum of its ingredients. The theme of RECIPE is communication. The project explores the nature of language and the possibility for miscommunication between the speaker and the listener. Recipe tells the story of a woman following a recipe and uses cooking as an allegory for speech. The film uses symbols as elements of language. Each ingredient is paired with a sound that gets mixed into a bowl. When the woman ingests the mixture, she distorts…

Son of the Preacher
Billy, the son of the preacher, secretly falls for a mysterious and pretty new parishioner. Constrained only to be able to look at her during Mass, he slowly lets himself punctuate the ceremonies with bits of his fantasies, giving rise to a succession of eclectic, often romantic, but sometimes naughty thoughts.

Spanish Tale, A
The story of a family and their friend Paco who fled Spain after the Civil War and the threat of imprisonment under Franco’s regime. Told by an English voice-over of the grown daughter of the same family whose photo album we peruse as she recounts their harrowing escape to France and Montreal as a five year old child. The collision of cultures, the clash of beliefs, an idealist’s exile and how the shadow of the past interferes on subsequent events.
