Shot on B&W 16 mm film, eco-processed with olives and hand coloured on site in rural Chile, lessons on flight examines the flight patterns of the green-backed firecrown hummingbird. lessons on flight is an exercise in site-based eco processing, where the film’s shooting site also provided the materials for processing. The film was shot in rural Chile, at the site of the filmmaker’s father’s childhood home, and was developed with olives freshly picked in the yard. Invincible Spring
An artist’s lost innocence comes calling. Modified memories of Clara – James’ lost love as a child – are clashed with scenes from his current infatuation with an unfaithful businesswoman. 16mm film, digital video, and CGI are used to illustrate Jame’s fluctuating states of mind, while variations of Ravel’s “Pavane pour une infante défunte” serve as a pulsing connection among them.

Sultana’s reign
Sultana of New York is a Palestinian drag queen, performer, and artist. “Sultana’s Rein” opens with a conversation with Sultana, as she is being painted by Jordanian artist, RIDIKKULUZ. Reflecting on her journey from Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, to then New York, Sultana tells of the challenges of performing drag in conservative societies, her nostalgia for the glory days and the glamour of Egyptian cinema icons, and her struggle to prove her existence and her self-expression as a performer and artist. She also shares her love of celebration and her everlasting commitment to be true to herself.

Mishaps in Spacetime
Doubt creeps in as Cosmo, a space traveller, addresses his gender identity. In need of clarity and change, he wants to risk crossing the Butterfly Nebula. His spaceship, on the other hand, has a personality of her own. Cosmo will need to negotiate change with a certain loss of control. Screened at the 2025 IndieLisboa International Film Festival and 2025 XPOSED Queer Film Festival Berlin.
